As of May 1, 2008 the Oregon Secretary of State issued a new Oregon Administrative Rule to assist Notaries in compling with the Oregon Consumer Identity Theft Protection Act.
This rule modifies the way information is recorded in your notary journal. From this time forward in your journal only record the issuer of identification card, the type of document, and the expiration date. For example: ODL, expires 9/7/2013.
